Tanker Management Self Assessment (TMSA)
7 March 2011, London
Hosted by Ian Hunter, MBE, Hudson Systems
The Tanker Management and Self Assessment (TMSA) programme provides ship operators with a means to improve and measure their own management systems. The programme encourages ship operators to assess their safety management systems against listed performance indicators. The results of these assessments can then be used to develop an improvement plan, using the stages of attainment described in the programme, to achieve safety and environmental excellence.
This one day workshop is designed to provide both tanker chartering and operational executives with a practical overview of the system. The course is led by one of the original authors of the programme, Ian Hunter MBE.
Ian Hunter was director, marine services of International Marine Transportation, with responsibility for the marine quality assessment of all third party vessels used by ExxonMobil affiliates.
Previously, he was director and vice president of Exxon's international shipping company, Standard Marine Services, with worldwide responsibility for third party vessel quality management, vessel operations for the Esso UK fleet and human resources in the SMS organisation. Today he is a consultant for Hudson Systems.
The course takes place on 7 March, one day prior to the 3rd Chemical & Product Tankers conference in London.
