New CFO at Herning Shipping

Danish chemical and product tanker operator Herning Shipping has appointed Jesper Holmark as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with effect from March 2012. He joins the company having served eight years previously with Torm. Prior to Torm he held various positions with Danisco. He replaces Jan Erik Sundquist who had been serving as interim CFO since September 2011.

The company was taken over by private equity investment firm Triton in August 2011 and has a fleet of over 40 vessels in the sub 13K dwt sector. It specialises in the transportation of chemicals, edible oils, acids and other speciality chemicals in the short sea sector.
