Clive Kessell to chair 4th European Shortsea Congress

We are delighted to announce that Clive Kessell has agreed to chair this year's European Shortsea Congress.

Clive is the chief associate of the business advice and management consultancy “The Really Useful Advice Company”. In this role he advises national and international businesses across a diverse range of sectors (shipping, ports, engineering, manufacturing, construction & infrastructure, marine services, offshore renewables, import/export & trading, rail, road, intermodal and market specific business intelligence). He lectures at universities and colleges and provides coaching and mentoring to a diverse range of individuals and teams. His portfolio includes business strategy & change management; project management; interim general management; purchasing techniques & practices; collaboration & partnership; leadership development & change, logistics & process design; supply chain management & processes. Clive previously worked for Imerys Minerals (formerly English China Clays), during which time he held various positions in operations, communication, ships’ agency, sand & aggregates, ports, transport, logistics, sales support, purchasing & supply chain operations. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and a keen supporter of modal shift to water, Clive is a regular panellist, guest speaker and session chairman at various conferences and forums across Europe.

Clive has spoken and been a session moderator at each of the previous three shortsea events and is extremely well-placed to take over the chairmanship this year.

The 4th European Shortsea Congress will take place in Hamburg 29-30 June.
