Chemical Supply Chain: Commercial | Operations | Regulations
23-24 November 2010
Radisson Blu Astrid Hotel, Antwerp

Hazardous Cargo Bulletin - the leading international publication for dangerous goods professionals - and specialist conference organiser, Navigate Events, are staging a two-day "Chemical Supply Chain" conference in Antwerp 23-24 November 2010.

This ground-breaking Chemical Supply Chain conference is designed for senior supply chain managers and professionals from chemical shippers, logistics providers, carriers, ports, warehouses, service providers and equipment manufacturers.

It aims to equip delegates with practical information on markets, operations and regulatory developments that affect the door-to-door chemical supply chain. You will learn, first-hand, from sector experts and have the chance to meet fellow industry participants and develop business.

The conference opens with a thorough review and insight into relevant chemical market issues followed by an in-depth transport analysis (supply/demand fundamentals, capacity availability, rate outlook) for intermodal freight markets. Tank container markets will be reviewed by a leader in the sector. The mid-morning and afternoon session will feature real-life case studies by chemical companies and logistics providers showing how working professionals are achieving improved results in areas such as cost, delay performance and safety. Dangerous goods incidents will be analysed to understand causes and lessons learned.

On day two, a rail logistics provider and a leading chemical company will discuss rail markets and examples of how their companies achieve improved results using rail in the chemical supply chain. Representatives of major national regulators will brief you on current inspection issues and upcoming national and international developments that will affect the chemical supply chain, while a leading consultant will review worldwide GHS implementation. The debate will continue with an analysis of ports and chemical cluster developments and the Marine Packed Cargo Audit Scheme.

To round-off the conference a "five-year outlook" session will provide invaluable advice and information on forthcoming commercial, operating and regulatory developments that will affect the future chemical supply chain. It will enable you to plan your business, manage your risks and develop opportunities.

Emphasis will be placed on practical information based on real examples that you can apply to your business. Ample networking opportunities will allow you to meet and develop business with other industry representatives.

A networking drinks reception kindly sponsored by VLS Group will be held for all delegates at the end of day one

Immediately following the conference (25 November) we are staging a one-day workshop on how international regulations affect the chemical supply chain. Visit the workshops section of this site for more details.
